Sahir Lodhi  has bring in immense reputation on behalf of his tough effort but  he is much known  by the name of “China Ka Shahrukh Khan”.

The reason behind it is that he copies sharukh khan while hosting or acting
“The Sahir Show" on Geo TV, Sahir Lodhi is receiving fairly a clownish reputation. He is receiving disgust and getting higher opposition than being appreciated.

Supporter adore Shahrukh Khan intended for his authentic code and true style whereas, Sahir Lodhi nothing than a coping clown who just follows Shahrukh Khan’s body language and statement skill and is rapidly losing his own identity  himself into an actor of other state.

Karachi: Handsets made in China ruling the local market

KARACHI: The China-made handsets have proved to be a nightmare for the business of other famous brands with their ‘china price’, advance technology and multiple features.
The sales of the Chinese mobile sets have been increasing constantly with its growing popularity among the middle- and lower-class customers for the last couple of years.

The second copy of branded cellphones has entered the domestic market along with its unique feature of dual SIMs system, which has attracted a lot of customers.
According to dealers of Empress market, the Chinese handsets of different brands are available from Rs 1000 to Rs 15,000 depending on variety and quality. The number of Chinese brands is more than 50, which are usually imported but there are some 15 brands that have captured the local markets.
A dealer, Mohmood Querishi, said the middle class customers are attracted by the handsets, which cost between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000 and have features of branded mobile sets costing Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000.
Initially, some Chinese brands were short-lived and equipped with poor battery, which retained the sale of branded mobile sets in the local markets. However, the dealers gradually started importing good quality gadgets from the same country that lead to a staggering spike in the sales, he added.
He said sharp mega pixel camera and improved memory capacity have also added its popularity among the customers who can purchase these handsets easily. The one-year warranty offered on more than Rs 5000 handset has also increased its reliability among the customers.
A retailer, Adeel Ahmed, said the mobile sets appeals to the masses who cannot buy Rs 30,000 original brand of iPhone but they can afford Chinese made iPhone in just Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 only with one year warrant.
He said the sales of Chinese brands has remained more or less the same despite after-effects of economic slow down and poor law and order situation of the country.
The indigenous gurus of handset repairing have also learned the art to reinstall different software, which is facilitating a number of Chinese made customers particularly in Karachi.
A number of Chinese made different mobile phone accessories of lowest cost have also dominated in the local markets. Besides low cost of handset, the illegal ways of imports of handset also have soared in the country particularly in last two years after the government imposed duty on it.
In the last fiscal year, the handset imports witnessed decline of more than 75 percent compared with its previous year.
Although the government cut the duty on handset from Rs 750 to Rs 250 per set but its imports through legal channel were not revived.
By the end of first quarter of the current fiscal year, it further witnessed a 28 percent decline. Overall $60.461 million worth mobile sets have been imported in Jul-Sep 2009 as compared with $83.83 million in the same period a year ago.
However, officials of other brands said that mobile phone handsets had maintained their own specific markets in brand conscious customers and the sales are improving considerably in the domestic markets.
They said the demand of handsets has declined in the lower- and middle-class customers since the government had imposed duties on its imports.
Apart from this, cellular phone companies have also introduced their own branded sets but failed to attract customers, as they were lacking the major features, which are provided by Chinese handsets.
In Pakistan, the users’ base has reached 95.54 million on the network of five cellular phone companies. The mobile phone subscribers have continued to increase every day across the country.

Rain in Karachi; Western Pacific Lighting Up

This visible image of Tropical Storm 10W, now called Nock-ten was captured on July 26, 2011 at 02:30 UTC (July 25 at 10:30 p.m. EDT) as its center was moving over the Philippines. The image was taken from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) that flies on NASA’s Terra satellite (it also flies on NASA’s Aqua satellite). Credit: NASA/MODIS
FIRST MEASURABLE RAIN OF THE SEASON

I do not know how much rain has fallen as of yet (I should be able to know soon), but the weather observations out of Karachi, Pakistan, show downpours with late-day thunderstorms on Tuesday, July 26. The last measurable rain at this site happened last winter on Feb. 20.
Last year, there had already been no fewer than two substantial falls of rain at the same site.
The trigger for the thunderstorms in Karachi and elsewhere in Sindh seems to have been a low pressure wave riding the easterly jet stream (a normal aspect of mid-summer weather maps of the Subcontinent) westward over Gujarat to the northern Arabian Sea. This should have tapped moisture in the low-level Monsoon southwesterlies.
As for the thunderstorms that wetted Pakistan, these seem to have shifted westward over southwestern Pakistan in the region of Baluchistan.
The bigger picture for the Subcontinent seems to be that the west-bound wave temporarily lowered rain coverage in its wake over most of India during the last few days.
As the wave leaves the area by way of Oman (where it will spark stray thunderstorms Wednesday), the some rise in rain coverage and intensity should happen during the next few days in the Subcontinent as a whole. The should include heavy falls against the west coast and western slopes. Sindh, on the other hand, will see fewer storms Wednesday and thereafter.
TWO TROPICAL CYCLONES IN THE WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC OCEAN
Tropical Storm Nock-Ten (10W) is crossing Philippines even as I write. This moderate tropical storm has been a big rainmaker in east-central Philippines (Catanduanes and southeastern Luzon). Rainfall has been in the neighborhood of 48 cm, or 19 inches, at Virac (Catanduanes) and Legaspi (Luzon).
A trek towards the west-northwest, across central Luzon (and greater Manila), will be followed by a return to sea by Thursday. Nock-Ten will leave further flooding rain in its wake.
Next land in the path of Nock-Ten will be southernmost China, likely Hainan, and northern Vietnam. Whether or not it becomes a typhoon, I do not know. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) say no.
My recollection is that mid-summer cyclones over the South China Sea tend to buck unfavorable northerly shearing winds aloft, and often have top winds held below typhoon status.
JAPAN WILL BE WATCHING TD 11W
Tropical Depression Eleven (11W) will be the next tropical storm, maybe even the next typhoon. TD 11W is south-southwest of Guam, aimed towards the northwest.
The JTWC forecast 11W to gain typhoon status over the open Philippine Sea on Friday (late-day, local time).
Ultimately, 11W could reach the shores of Japan, although this would not happen until sometime next week.

Its eastern regions are located on the Indian tectonic plate and the western and northern regions on the Iranian plateau and Eurasian landplate. Apart from the 1,046 km (650 mi)

Participants
Arabian Sea coastline, Pakistan’s land borders total 6,774 km (4,209 mi)—2,430 km (1,510 mi) with Afghanistan to the northwest, 523 km (325 mi) with China to the northeast, 2,912 km (1,809 mi) with India to the east and 909 km (565 mi) with Iran to the southwest.
The northern and western highlands of Pakistan contain the towering Karakoram and Pamir mountain ranges, which incorporate some of the world’s highest peaks, including K2 (8,611 m/28,251 ft) and Nanga Parbat (8,126 m/26,660 ft).

Presentation
The Balochistan Plateau lies to the West, and the Thar Desert in the East. An expanse of alluvial plains lies in Punjab and Sindh along the Indus river. The 1,609 km (1,000 mi) Indus River and its tributaries flow through the country from the Kashmir region to the Arabian Sea.

Economy

Pakistan has a semi-industrialized economy. The growth poles of the Pakistani economy are situated along the Indus River. Diversified economies of Karachi and Punjab’s urban centres, coexist with lesser developed areas in other parts of the country. Despite being a very poor country in 1947, Pakistan’s economic

Fashion
growth rate has been better than the global average during the subsequent four decades, but imprudent policies led to a slowdown in the late 1990s. Recently, wide-ranging economic reforms have resulted in a stronger economic outlook and accelerated growth especially in the manufacturing and financial services sectors. Since the 1990s, there has been great improvement in the foreign exchange position and rapid growth in hard currency reserves.
The 2005 estimate of foreign debt was close to US$40 billion. However, this has decreased in recent years with assistance from the International Monetary Fund and significant debt-relief from the United States. Pakistan’s gross domestic

Fashion
product, as measured by purchasing power parity, is estimated to be $475.4 billion while its per capita income stands at $2,942. The poverty rate in Pakistan is estimated to be between 23% and 28%.

Demographics

The estimated population of Pakistan in 2010 was over 170 million making it the world’s sixth most-populous country, behind Brazil and ahead of Russia. The population growth rate now stands at 1.6% . The majority of southern Pakistan’s population live along the Indus River. By population size, Karachi is the largest

Flage Pakistan
city of Pakistan. In the northern half, most of the population live in an arc formed by the cities of Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, Sargodha and Sheikhupura. About 20% of the population live below the international poverty line of US$1.25 a day .
Life expectancy at birth is 63 years for females and 62 years for males as of compared to the healthy life expectancy at birth which was 54 years for males and 52 years for females in 2003. Expenditure on health was at 2% of the GDP. The mortality below 5 was at 97 per 1,000 live births. During 1990–2003, Pakistan sustained its historical lead as the most urbanised nation in South Asia, with city dwellers making up 36% of its population. Furthermore, 50% of Pakistanis now reside in towns of 5,000 people or more.

Society and Culture

The national dress of Shalwar Kameez is originally a Sindhi dress, however,

Fashion
mostly it is worn in all parts of Pakistan. The sari is another national dress that is worn by many women in Sindh and parts of Pakistan. Women wear brightly coloured shalwar qameez, while men often wear solid-coloured ones.

Handicrafts Division

Pakistani Handicrafat
The Handicraft Section is part of the Facilitation Division of the TDAP. The Section has been working to create a strong synergy between the artisan community and the TDAP. Many well-attended handicraft fairs were held in 2009 in eight of Pakistan’s bustling cities including Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Multan, Gujrat, Abbottabad, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad. Docu-films about the lives and work of handicraft workers were

Wood Work
especially made to enable TDAP to recognize each craftsperson as a promotional motif to introduce Pakistan’s handicrafts and to also help the TDAP internally select the relevant craftspeople for an international delegation.
A handicraft web-link is therefore being developed so that orders from the international market can be received. The categories those are available include:

Hand Woven
Textiles( hand-woven, block-print, Tie n Die, Chundri), Jewellery, Bangles / Glass work, Metalwork, Carpets, rugs and Durries, Pottery, ceramics and clay toys, Basketry, Paper mache products, Woodwork and furniture, Candles, Leather garments and accessories, and Cutlery.
During Expo Pakistan 2010, a special handicraft hall was set up that garnered a wonderful response from foreign visitors from different parts of the world. A handicraft show was also organized that displayed garments and accessories. TDAP is further exploring the

Bangles - Glass Work
participation of local Pakistani craftsmen in specific handicraft exhibitions and encouraging their participation in fairs in Russia, Central Asia, Middle-East, Europe as well as other countries such as the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia.
USA imports a wide range of ‘Made in Pakistan’ wall hangings and cushion covers and many other items “duty free”. A Handicraft Directory is being produced by TDAP, which is expected to come out before the end of the calendar year 2010. This would include a list of artisans

Metal Work
from the length and breadth of the country, along with their contacts and specialties. This Directory shall be distributed to all of the Pakistan’s Missions abroad. Special Training Workshops are being planned for Handicraft exporters, which are expected to commence in October, 2010
